  122.         There are lots of other mailing lists that may be be of interest
  123.     to SCA people.  Here is a listing of some of them.  To subscribe,
  124.     send mail to LISTSERV@<host address>, where <host address> is the
  125.     part of the address for the list you're interested in that comes
  126.     after the @ sign.  The mail should have nothing in the subject line,
  127.     and the body of the message should consist of nothing more than
  128.             SUB <listname> <yourname>
  129.     where <listname> is the name of the mailing list you are subscribing
  130.     to (the part *before* the @ sign) and <yourname> is your name.  Many
  131.     of these lists are places where modern-world scholars communicate,
  132.     and therefore are not places where persona is appropriate -- use

  157.         Yes.  There are several sites that contain various files of SCA
  158.     information, including this file, Corpora, the Heraldic Rules for
  159.     Submission, the Online Armorial, several kingdom's laws, rules for
  160.     combat, and so on.  Each site has a different collection of
  161.     material, so you may need to investigate more than one to find what
  162.     you need.  Contact your local system administrator to learn how to
  163.     use anonymous FTP to retrieve these files.  Those without FTP access
  164.     should send e-mail to mail-server@rtfm.mit.edu with "send
  165.     usenet/news.answers/finding-sources" in the body to find out how to
  166.     do FTP by e-mail.

  178.         The best way to find a contact in a particular area or group is
  179.     to look in the Rolls Ethereal.

  181. 2.4  What are the Rolls Ethereal?

  183.         The Rolls Ethereal list people on the Rialto, at least name and
  184.     electronic address, and often interests, location, and awards.  The
  185.     Rolls are maintained by Justin du Coeur (justin@inmet.camb.inmet.com)
  186.     and are distributed at intervals of anywhere from 6 to 12 months.

  188. 2.5  What's this alt.sca I found?
  189.  
  190.         The first SCA newsgroup was named alt.sca.  When the traffic grew
  191.     to a respectable size, we moved to rec.org.sca because the rec
  192.     hierarchy gets better distribution.  alt.sca is currently defunct, but
  193.     still carried at some sites.  We recommend that users of alt.sca move
  194.     over to rec.org.sca, and ask their system administrator to remove
  195.     alt.sca from their system, to avoid future confusion.

  197. 2.6  Where can I get songs and lyrics?
  198.  
  199.         There are a number of sites that archive song sources.  Many of
  200.     these are dial-up sites, requiring the use of a modem.  Please do
  201.     not ask for technical help with this on the Rialto -- there are sure
  202.     to be better sources of this information close to you.
